What We Do
Klarna’s Treasury is responsible for providing Klarna with the right amount of funding and capital to meet our planned growth while at the same time managing liquidity and financial risks. Within Treasury, the Transaction Management team focuses on managing the transfer of credit risk to external investors. Since 2022 we have undertaken a series of credit risk transfer transactions working with high profile international investors and covering multi billion dollar loan portfolios. This enables us to optimize our balance sheet, meaning we can continue to roll out Klarna’s products and services to new consumers and markets. Credit risk transfer is now a key part of Klarna’s business model and we are growing the Transaction Management team to ensure we can continue to manage these complicated transactions.

What you will do
Treasury is varied and fast moving and you can expect to work with
- Design, build and implement new probabilistic cash flow models, for valuation of financial assets.
- Analyse and evaluate data on credit risk performance and work with multiple internal teams to understand and monitor trends.
- Deliver high-quality sensitivity and scenario modelling to support decision-making.
- Automate reporting process to external investors and manage communications with the investors.
- Maintain and enhance codebase for training and deployment of cash flow modeling scripts.
You should have
- A university degree within science, engineering, mathematics, business or economics.
- Strong interest in the financial markets and how they work.
- 3 years' minimum financial modelling experience.
- Advanced financial modelling skills — able to independently build and scale complex Excel models to production-grade standard.
- Strong knowledge of financial data modelling concepts, methodologies, and techniques, with a proven track record of successfully delivering data models in a large enterprise environment.
- Capacity to glean insights and draw actionable conclusions from data.
- An interest in additional specialisms such as Treasury or Financial Accounting or Systems implementation.
- Strong conceptual and problem solving ability, strong attention to detail.
